1969 Super Sport Camaro Convertible

396/375 - 12 Bolt, Power Steering and Power Disc brakes

This Camaro is unlike any car we have owned. Typically, any car that has gone through a full restoration, you'll find areas where some things were glossed over, areas where corners were cut. This Camaro has had zero corners cut. It is extremely tight in all corners. It fires up every single time with out any issues. It drives and handles like a true low mileage survivor car. There are no squeaks, squeals, no shaking or shimmying when stopping. It steers exceptionally well with absolutely zero play. In addition to handling like a brand new car off of the showroom floor, everything WORKS on the car, INCLUDING THE CLOCK! Whoever built this car paid an exceptional amount of attention to detail.

The body lines of the Camaro are laser straight. Everything lines up very well. The Butternut Yellow was done in a two stage, base coat clear coat. There is no orange peel, no spider webbing, no cracks, chips, nor blemishes. The body and paint work are superb. The rocker panels were painted in a glossy black which really compliment the Super Sport stripes very nicely. The doors do not sag. They open and shut with ease. All of the chrome and stainless are in excellent condition. All of the glass through out the Camaro is also in excellent condition. There is no chipping nor scratches. Both the front and rear windows roll up and down with ease. All of the SS emblems are in excellent condition. None of which are fading nor chipping. When this Camaro was restored, it is evident that all of the body bushings and suspension were also gone through. The twelve bolt rear end appears to be original to the car but I have not verified that. It definitely was pulled, gone through, and repainted. The same can be said for the front disc brake setup. The Convertible top was replaced and it is in excellent condition. There are no stains, fades, rips, nor any areas where it is coming unstitched.

The 396 within this Camaro appears to be correct but is not the numbers matching motor. It does sounds absolutely tremendous and it has absolutely no mechanical problems. It does not leak, smoke, nor burn an excess amount of oil. The automatic transmission is also in excellent working order. It shifts out perfectly and it too does not leak. The power steering and power front disc brakes work perfectly. The Camaro has no play within the steering and it brakes flawlessly. All of the electrical components through out the Camaro are in perfect working order. The speedometer, Tachometer, clock, windshield wipers, gas gauge, turn signals, voltage meter, oil pressure gauge, temperature gauge, head lights, tail lights, everything works perfectly.

The interior of this Camaro is in excellent condition. There are no stains, rips, nor areas where anything is coming unseamed. The front & rear door panels, dash pad, bucket seats, back seat, steering column, glove box, center console, all four seat belts, everything is in excellent condition. Even the entire ash tray assembly was replaced with a brand new one which has never been used. Again, I can't emphasize enough that whoever built this car, they paid an exceptional amount of attention to every single detail.

I can say with absolute certainty that this is by far the nicest Camaro we have ever owned. Based on what the previous owners had explained to us, they had purchased it from a classic car auction and had put less than a thousand miles on it since owning it. We have only put about fifty miles on it. Now it does have all of the correct SS equipment but I do not have the Protecto Plate nor Buildsheet. In closing, I can NOT emphasize enough as to how well this Camaro runs and drives. I have driven at least a thousand different collector cars and I have never driven a restored car that has driven as well as this one. It seriously handles like a low mileage survivor car.

I do have this Camaro for sale locally and I will end the auction early should it sell prior to the auction ending. So if interested, I would strongly recommend calling before emailing. I will gladly discuss the reserve price with anyone who is interested. I also have a clear title for the Camaro. Have a great day.
